Ever since i saw the wonderful biopic films of Janet Frame's life I have wanted to read her books. Like Atwood, she tantalises me with her wonderful turns of phrase and stark honesty in her writing and I never want to finish reading her books. This novel was published posthumously in 2007. and it is about Grace, who is taking a break from writing a long novel and she feels herself losing her grip on daily life in London.
Frame wrote this in 1963 while she, oh so coincidentally was taking a break from her longst novel.
if you haven't read her - or seen the lovely films, I encourage you to.
