I picked this book up because I am quite obsessed with Danish drama and, like Edina in Ab Fab, have found myself fluent in the language too, tak, tak you very much. It's nothing to do with Denmark, especially as the breed of dog (which this book is actually about) is a German breed. Learn something new everyday hey. Keep that one close by. This is the fifth edition, that was bought up to date by Mr Marples (Arthur F), F.Z.S.
The chapters titles include; hsitory, mating, whelping and reading, character and anecdotes and commoner ailments of Great Danes. There are lots of good quality black and white photos with names below such as Primley Nina, Ch. Maurice of Cuddington and Algy, and I am unsure if these are the names of the breed, or of the individual dogs themselves.
It seems that this slightly water damaged paperback was published around 1934.
It is published by 'Our Dogs' of which Mr Marple is editor of a magazine by the same name.
