Ai dios mio! Gabriel Garcia Marquez' book 100 Years of Solitude is my easy response to 'what is your favourite book?' It may or may not be a correct answer on any given day. That said, Garcia Marquez, or Gabo as he is affectionately know was a formative author in my reading trajectory, recommended by Clive at Fullers in the early 90s before I embarked on a trip to Central America, where fiction became real again. These are the stories of his stories, and the magic that his Grandmother imbued him with, replete with his beautiful language, AND translated by my favourite translator, Edith Grossman.
This is the first volume of his authobiography, and the dear man is recently passed away.
Beautiful hardcover, very good condition
