When this book was first published many booksellers shelved it in the biography section of their shops. It soon moved to fiction, though the story of a break out from Pentridge Gaol, running with the Delhi mafia, running arms for the Mujahadin and what is actually the best depiction of heroin withdrawals in both fiction and non fiction, is incredibly gripping and also, incredibly long (933 pages to be precise).
It's an exhilarating ride and I'm glad I went there.
This is a well read former library copy, still bearing the barcode on the front cover. It's a Scribe hardcover from 2003, isbn 9781920769000
